• Completed techniques - Which techniques you've tried and when
• App preferences - Your settings and focus area selections
• Daily glitch count - How many techniques per day you prefer
• Mood ratings - Optional feedback you provide after techniques
• Subscription status - Whether you have an active subscription (managed by Apple)
• Discovery progress - Your personal technique collection and achievements

How We Store It

• All data is stored using iOS Core Data and UserDefaults
• Data is isolated to the MindGlitch app only
• Other apps cannot access MindGlitch data
• Data is automatically backed up with your device backups (if enabled)

Widget Data

MindGlitch includes a home screen widget:

• Widget data is shared between the app and widget using iOS App Groups
• This data never leaves your device
• Widget shows your current daily techniques only
• No external services are contacted for widget functionality

Subscription Information

• Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store
• We receive only basic subscription status (active/inactive) from Apple
• No payment information is stored in or accessible by MindGlitch
• Apple's privacy policy governs subscription data handling

Data Security

Local Security

• All data uses iOS's built-in security features
• Data is encrypted at rest using iOS device encryption
• App data is sandboxed and isolated from other apps

No Network Security Needed

• Since we don't transmit data, there are no network security concerns
• No servers to secure, no databases to protect
• Your data security is managed by iOS and your device's security features

Your Data Rights

Complete Control

• View your data - All data is accessible through the app's interface
• Delete your data - Use “Reset All Data” in Settings to permanently delete everything
• Export limitation - Since data is local-only, there's no export feature (data stays on your device)

Data Portability

• Your data is not portable between devices by design (privacy-first approach)
• If you want to transfer data, you would use iOS device backup/restore
• We don't provide cloud sync to maintain privacy

Third-Party Services

What We Use

• Apple App Store - For app distribution and subscription management only
• Apple StoreKit - For in-app purchases (no data shared beyond transaction status)

What We Don't Use

• No third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• No advertising networks
• No cloud storage services
• No social media integrations
• No crash reporting services that send data externally

Children's Privacy

• MindGlitch is designed for users 13 years and older
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13
• Since we don't collect personal data, COPPA compliance is inherent in our design
• Parents can safely allow teens to use the app without privacy concerns

International Users

• Since all data is local, there are no cross-border data transfers
• Your data never leaves your device or country
• GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations are inherently satisfied by our local-only approach

Changes to This Privacy Policy

• We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally
• Material changes will be communicated through app updates
• Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of privacy policy changes
• Previous versions will be available on our website

Data Retention

• Data is retained until you delete it or reset the app
• Uninstalling the app deletes all local data
• No data persists on external servers after app removal
• iOS device backups may contain app data according to your backup settings
